Dave Wickes

Senior Manager

Dave is the CMA Senior Manager and has over 14 years of experience supporting young people into employment through the delivery of multiple funded projects. Dave currently manages our young people and adult unemployment contracts and is leading on the business engagement by creating links between the young people and the network of over 105 local Marine Business Ambassadors.

Joe Davies

CMA Education and Training Development Manager

Joe is the CMA Education and Training Development Manager and has graduated with a First-Class Honours Degree. Joe has developed a highly diverse educational and skilled background with experiences in teaching, education, sports, construction, sales, farming, customer service and the health and safety sectors. Joe has taught in both Primary and Secondary schools. Joe is also our Safeguarding Lead for CMA.

Employability Coach

Carol is an CMA Employability Coach, with experience in managing a varied caseload of participants, coaching in all aspects of Employability support, including successfully organising employer/ participant engagement events (both virtually and face to face). Carol is a qualified Tutor and is working towards gaining a qualification to become an Apprenticeship Tutor and Assessor and will support CMN’s Apprenticeship recruitment.

Careers Advisor

Judith delivers Information, Advice and Guidance (Level 6 qualification) accredited training to CMA and partner organisations. She has a General Arts Degree and holds the post-graduate Diploma in Career Guidance (Dip CG) and Level 4 Delivery of Training. Judith was a Careers Adviser with Cornwall Careers Service, later Connexions and Careers South West, for 20 years, eventually moving into staff development. She has worked with CMN since 2016 as a work-placed Assessor/ Tutor, supporting Apprentices and employers towards achievement of a range of Apprenticeships.
Bryan Fogerty

Bryan Fogerty

Project Services Officer and Trainee Careers Advisor

Bryan is CMN’s Project Services Officer, specialising in supporting businesses. This involves working with the businesses to help them grow and upskill their staff. This can be through advice and guidance on training to suit their staff needs, helping to support the recruitment of Apprentices, or sign-posting to relevant departments to look at membership support, or how they may work as an ambassador for CMA. Bryan is also currently training to become the CMA Careers Advisor and is undertaking his Level 6 IAG qualification, mentored by Judith Cook. Bryan has previously worked in Hospitality, Retail, Construction and Health and Social Care and has recently completed a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.

Patsy McMullen

Functional Skills and Employability Tutor

Patsy delivers Functional Skills English and Maths to Apprentices with CMN and has a BA Honours Degree in English Literature and Creative Writing in addition to a PGCE Teaching qualification in the Life Long Learning Sector, specialising in Special Educational Needs. Patsy has worked in Sales and advertising for over 25 years working with newspapers, magazines and radio, as well as running her own successful sales company in London. A fully qualified assessor now working as part of the CMN and CMA team delivering specialist training sessions in Employability Skills, Empowering Women and An Introduction to Engineering, Sustainability and Boat Building through our 1-day Themed Workshops.

Maritime Sustainability Skills Manager - Tutor and Assessor

Kit is our Maritime Sustainability Skills Manager, having joined CMN as an Employability Skills Tutor within the ever-expanding Training team. Kit helps to create, develop and deliver a range of courses to various audiences including Apprenticeships and external companies. Kit has helped create, develop and deliver many courses throughout his time within CMN and CMA, including Customer Service, Essential Digital Skills, Green Skills and Sustainability. He also delivers Functional Skills and the Level 3 Business Admin Apprenticeship. Kit is also a Mental Health Advocate for CMN.

Employment and Skills Programme Manager

Steve is the Employment and Skills Programme Manager and is our primary contact with Job Centres to help promote and widen our training offer to unemployed adults (Management of CMN’s Adult Employability Support programmes.) Steve is responsible for overseeing any of our learners or apprentices that require additional learning support, is our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and our Designated Safeguarding Lead.

CMA Marketing and Events Coordinator

Dean is the Marketing and Events Coordinator where he coordinates and leads on the development and delivery of marketing plans for the CMN Group (including CMA) liaising with teams to secure support and create engaging campaigns and events, overseeing content creation for our social media accounts and e-newsletters, and executing data measurement/ analysis of audience outreach.

Paul has an extensive 36-year history of senior management positions, both in the private and public sectors and within small business and multi-national corporations. In 2015, Paul was awarded an MBE for services to the Marine industry and the community in Falmouth, Cornwall.
